Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines with Brigada Eskwela, back to school.

The associates of Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines (KOFPH) place great value in volunteerism and community development efforts.

These are principles not just innate in the members of our organization, but a core ethic that the KOFPH family fully enjoys.

One testament to this was the company’s eager observance of a yearly activity, its participation in a nationwide campaign called Brigada Eskwela (“Back-to-School Brigade”).

It is an annual program where volunteers from KOFPH, all over the country, commit time and effort to ensure that partner-schools are in their best condition. The objective is that they may be better prepared for the resumption of classes in June, so to welcome the country’s school children returning to another year of studies.

At the tail-end of the country’s commemoration of Volunteerism Month, associates from KOFPH’s Parañaque Distribution Center partnered with nearby C.P. Sta. Teresa Elementary School in Taguig City. They joined forces to help prepare classrooms and school facilities for its approximately 4,000 students.

Parañaque Distribution Center, is the largest distribution center in the country, based in the capital region.

Also KOFPH volunteers partnered with Dr. Arcadio Santos National High School in Parañaque City, which is home to approximately 3,500 students. They  dedicated a day in painting walls, repairing chairs and tables, and leading general cleaning activities.

This social development endeavor was undertaken by all KOFPH volunteers, from Paranaque, to Davao, to Canlubang, to name just a few.
