We enjoy a very strong market position with tremendous opportunities for growth within our industry. Today, we are the largest franchise bottler of Coca-Cola trademark beverages in the world by sales volume, with a market reach that extends across 2 million points of sale, serving over 266 million consumers in Latin America. Our resilient business model enables us not only to navigate dynamic market environments, but also to capitalize on vast opportunities for growth within our industry in partnership with one of the most recognizable global consumer brands.
Building on our industry-leading position, we are accelerating our transformation into the growth model of the future. Guided by our refreshed purpose and vision, we are escalating our continuous value creation journey—from a digitalized beverage bottler to an omnichannel and multi-category player to a full commercial ecosystem. To achieve our long-term ambitions, we are focused on a renewed strategy, designed to develop a winning consumer-centric, multi-category portfolio; build out an open omnichannel, multi-category commercial platform; digitize our core; and actively pursue value-enhancing acquisitions that capture different avenues for growth.
Empowered by our senior leadership team, we place sustainability at the heart of everything we do. On the back of our robust sustainable financing strategy, we were not only the first company in the Coca-Cola System to issue a green bond, but also the first company to issue sustainability-linked bonds in the Mexican market, and the first Company in the consumer sector in the Americas to issue social bonds. Underscoring our commitment to ESG, as of December 31, 2021, 85% of our bottling operations’ power came from clean energy, up more than fourfold from 2015. Our water use ratio improved to an average of 1.47 liters of water per liter of beverage, an industry benchmark. Our use of recycled PET (rPET) in our packaging rose to 31%, accelerating the transition to a circular economy. Also, our company was recognized as members of the FTSE4GOOD Latin America Emerging Markets Index for the seventh consecutive year.
Capitalizing on our extremely solid financials, we create significant shareholder value; our market capitalization has increased by 13 times since our initial public offering. Our healthy balance sheet and strong free cash flows enable us to invest in organic and inorganic opportunities, while paying a consistent dividend to our shareholders.
