Community Development

We promote development actions in the countries where we operate, starting with our neighboring communities and value chains, in order to generate economic and social value.

As we recognize our integral role in the communities, we know that the prosperity and longevity of our business is intimately tied to our ability to collaborate with our neighbors and value chain. In this way, we promote sustainable solutions that address prevailing challenges and promote shared prosperity within our environment.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS

We have an enduring commitment to community development and work to co-create social value through initiatives that address local needs.

This commitment is strengthened through the implementation of FEMSA’s Community Risk Management and Engagement Model (MARRCO).

Comprised of five steps, MARRCO enables us to build mutually beneficial relationships with the communities we consider home.

OUR PILLARS: WASH

Access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH)

Central to our strategy is the belief that water is critical to communities. Our track record in water care focuses on innovation  and active collaboration with neighbors, governments and other institutions to promote water resilience in the communities in which we operate and generate programs that provide access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) solutions.
